Frequently asked questions
Are the trips available based on individual advisor bookings or based on their agencies total bookings? The trips are only given to individual advisors, based on their individual bookings. Advisors cannot pool bookings from other advisors, to earn places on any of the trips.
Are flights included with any of the self-fam trips? For all trips available to advisors, external flights to and from and to the USA are not included. Our trips only for the ground arrangements of the trip, to help advisors experience our cultural adventure travel (for the purpose of this competition, internal/domestic flights are included as part of the 'ground arrangements').
Can I bring friends and family on any of the available trips? For the advisor selected for the personal self-fam trip, the choice is entirely theirs. Inside Travel Group will adjust the trip according to those joining you, with all selections being at the final choice of Inside Travel Group. For advisors who claim a place on a small group tour to Japan, any additional friends or family will need to book their own place on to the tour (availability dependent).
Do small group tour bookings also count towards the personal self-fam trip? Yes. InsideJapan Small Group Tour bookings count towards the self-fam submission draw. And (if places are still available) count towards the free places available for the InsideJapan small group tours Once all ten available places on an InsideJapan Small Group Tour are claimed, will any more be released? No. Once all ten places are claimed (by the first ten advisors to make three separate InsideJapan Small Group Tour bookings) no more will be available to claim. If I earn a self-fam place on a InsideJapan Small Group Tour, and want extensions, will these be covered as part of the self-fam prize? No. Acceptance of the InsideJapan Small Group Tour place, is exclusive of any additions. All additions will need to be paid for by the winning advisor at the time of booking the incentive, depending on availability. Additions will also be subject to InsideJapan's booking policies (see the InsideJapan website for details). Can any of the trips be replaced or used as cost against another holiday? No. The trips can only be redeemed by the advisors confirmed by Inside Travel Group, for the sole purpose of their own use, in line with the terms and conditions.
Terms and conditions
1. Eligibility
1.1. This incentive is open to individuals aged 18 years and older who meet the following criteria based on their region:
United States (USA):
Participants must have:
- Be subscribed to the InsideTravel's email newsletters
- Completed at least one (1) product video provided by the organizing company.
- Completed the associated quiz for the completed product video, with a passing score of 80%
- Attended at least one (1) webinar out of the five (5) planned for the year.
- Complete the form (emailed each month), using 50 words or less, to explain how the trip is a perfect example of a cultural adventure.
1.2. Employees, affiliates, and family members of the organizing company are not eligible to participate.
1.3. Staff from tour operators, wholesalers and Online Travel Agents (OTAs) are not eligible for the trips, with the distinction being made by Inside Travel Group.
2. Incentive Details
2.1. Participants meeting all eligibility and booking requirements will be eligible for the following incentives:
Monetary Value
From all submissions made to the post booking questionnaire between 1st January, 2025, and 31st December, 2025, one advisor will be selected to receive a self-fam, of Inside Travel Groups design, with opportunity for the advisor to make non-binding suggestions to the itinerary, worth $25,000, to one of the following destinations: Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Borneo, South Korea, or Japan. The self-fam trip will include accommodations and selected activities, subject to a predefined monetary limit and at choosing of Inside Travel Group. The personal self-fam trip cannot be exchanged for cash. It is a single booking as dictated by Inside Travel Group.
Questionnaire for each booking
The advisor of the self-fam incentive will be selected based on the merit of answers provided in a competition questionnaire. We will ask all advisors who make a booking, to provide in 50 words or less, the reason why that respective booking was a perfect example of a cultural adventure. From all the submissions, a single answer will be chosen by the senior team at Inside Travel, that we believe best reflects what a true cultural adventure is. This submission will receive the place on the self-fam trip. Only submissions with valid booking references provided will be reviewed. The submission form will be emailed out to advisors to complete monthly. Failure to include a submission for a booking in the prize window of 1st January, 2025, and 31st December, 2025 will see it not included in the review period for all submissions in Q1 2026.
The monetary value limits for the personal self-fam trip are:
- United States (USA): Up to $25,000 USD - valued by Inside Travel Group based on the self-fam trip we develop
A place on an InsideJapan Small Group Tour
An additional place on an InsideJapan Small Group Tour, which can be claimed when the participant makes:
- 3 separate InsideJapan small group tour bookings: Eligible for an 'essential' graded trip.
- 4 separate InsideJapan small group tour bookings: Eligible for a 'classic' graded trip.
- 6 separate InsideJapan small group tour bookings: Eligible for a 'superior' graded trip.
Only ten (10) InsideJapan Small Group Tour places will be available for advisors. Places will be offered to the first ten (10) advisors to complete three (3) separate InsideJapan Small Group Tour bookings in 2025. Advisors will not be selected by the number of passengers booked onto InsideJapan Small Group Tours.
2.3. Details of the Incentive
Both the monetary value of the grand self-fam trip or the InsideJapan Small Group Tour does not include flights. It covers only accommodations, local transportation, and guided activities. No information will be provided on how many of the 10 places remain available to advisors, during the duration period outlined in 2.1.
3. Booking Requirements
3.1. All bookings must be made during the promotional period, which runs from 01/01/2025 - 31/12/2025
3.4. Canceled or refunded trips will not count toward the required total.
4. Claiming the incentives
4.1. Participants who meet all eligibility and booking requirements will be notified within 30 business days after the conclusion of the promotional period.
4.2. Advisors must claim their personal self-fam trip or InsideJapan small group tour place within one (1) year from the date of notification.
4.3. Once claimed, the personal self-fam trip and/or InsideJapan Small Group Tour must be utilized within by the 31/12/2026
4.4. Failure to claim or utilize either the personal self-fam trip or InsideJapan Small Group Tour place within the specified period will result in forfeiture.
4.5 You are only allowed to join 1 InsideJapan Small Group Tour place based on bookings made during the promotional period.
5. Trip redemptions
5.1. The personal self-fam trip and InsideJapan Small Group Tour incentives will be pre-determined by the organizing company and include accommodations, local transportation, and selected activities.
5.2. The incentives are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives.
5.3. Advisors on the self-fam trip or InsideJapan Small Group Tour are responsible for arranging their own flights, visas, travel insurance, and any personal expenses. Domestic / internal flights within the personal self-fam trip destination, are counted as ground arrangements and included in the cost of the trip we build for you.
5.4. Personal self-fam trips can only be redeemed for a singular booking. It cannot be split between separate bookings.
5.5. Personal self-fam trips must be accepted in full at the time of booking. If a personal self-fam trip is valued at less than the full monetary value, at time of booking, for their own booking, will forfeit the remaining monetary value which is entirely dictated by Inside Travel Group.
5.6. Those who secure a place on an InsideJapan Small Group Tour, can only redeem the place on the tour itself. Any additional costs that advisors include in their booking, will be required to be paid in full at time of booking, by the advisor themselves.
6. General Terms
6.1. The organizing company reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this promotion at any time without prior notice.
6.2. In case of disputes regarding eligibility or trip distribution (for those listed as available), the organizing company’s decision will be final and binding.
6.3. By participating, entrants agree to these terms and conditions and consent to their personal information being used for promotional purposes related to this incentive.
7. Liability Disclaimer
7.1. The organizing company is not responsible for any cancellations, delays, or other issues beyond its control that may affect the selected advisors ability to redeem or enjoy the trips that they have chosen to take.
