Throughout 2025 we'll be running training webinars for those who want to become better at selling cultural adventures to Asia. Attend one webinar in 2025 to qualify for the incentives. (Webinars will be announced via email to all subscribers)
Frequently asked questions
Are rewards based on individual agent bookings or based on agency bookings? Rewards are only awarded to individual agents, based on their individual bookings. Agents cannot pool bookings from other agents, to earn rewards. Are flights included with any of the prize trips? External flights to and from Australia or New Zealand are not included. Our rewards are only for the ground arrangements, to help winners experience cultural adventure travel (for the purpose of this competition, internal/domestic flights are included as part of the 'ground arrangements').
Can I bring friends and family if I win one of the prize trips? For the winner of the grand prize, the choice is entirely theirs. For the winner of a free place on a small group tour to Japan, any additional friends or family will need to book their own place on to the tour (availability dependent). Do Small Group Tour bookings also count towards the grand prize? Yes. InsideJapan Small Group Tour bookings count towards the grand prize, and (if places are still available) count towards the 'earn a free place on a InsideJapan Small Group Tour' incentive. Once all ten 'earn a free place on an InsideJapan Small Group Tour' incentives are claimed, will any more be released? No. Once all ten places are claimed (by the first ten advisors to make three separate InsideJapan Small Group Tour bookings) no more will be available to claim. If I win a free place on a Japan Small Group Tour, and want to include extensions, will these be covered as part of the prize? No. Acceptance of the InsideJapan Small Group Tour incentive is exclusive of any additions. All additions will need to be paid for by the winning agent at the time of booking the incentive, depending on availability. Additions will also be subject to InsideJapan's booking policies (see the InsideJapan website for details). Can any of the prizes be replaced or used as cost against another holiday? No. The prize trips can only be redeemed by the winning agent, for the sole purpose of their own use, in line with the terms and conditions.
Terms and conditions
1. Eligibility
1.1. This incentive is open to individuals aged 18 years and older who meet the following criteria based on their region:

Participants must:
- Be subscribed to InsideTravel's email newsletters
- Attend at least one (1) webinar out of the five (5) planned for the year.
- Complete the Inside Travel Group (InsideJapan & InsideAsia) CATO training module [Coming soon]
- Complete the form (emailed each month), using 50 words or less, to explain how the trip is a perfect example of a cultural adventure.
1.2. Employees, affiliates, and family members of the organising company are not eligible to participate.
1.3. Staff from tour operators, wholesalers and Online Travel Agents (OTAs) are not eligible for the rewards, with the distinction being made by InsideTravel.
2. Incentive Details
2.1. Participants meeting all eligibility and booking requirements will be eligible for the following incentives:
Monetary Value
From all bookings made by an advisor between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025, one winner will be selected to receive a monetary award toward a trip to one of the following destinations: Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Borneo, South Korea, or Japan. The trip will include accommodations and selected activities, subject to a predefined monetary limit. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash. It must be used for a single booking, and any unused value will be forfeited.
The monetary value limit for the personal trip is:
- Australia and New Zealand: Up to $50,000 AUD
Free Japan Small Group Tours
An additional free InsideJapan small group tour, which can be claimed when the participant makes:
- 3 separate InsideJapan small group tour bookings: Eligible for an 'essential' graded trip.
- 5 separate InsideJapan small group tour bookings: Eligible for a 'classic' graded trip.
- 6 separate InsideJapan small group tour bookings: Eligible for a 'superior' graded trip.
Only ten(10) free InsideJapan Small Group Tour places will be awarded for this incentive. Places will be offered to the first ten (10) agents to complete three (3) separate InsideJapan Small Group Tour bookings in 2025. Winners will not be selected by the number of passengers booked onto InsideJapan Small Group Tours.
2.3. Details of the Incentive
Both the monetary value towards a trip or the InsideJapan Small Group Tour does not include flights. It covers only accommodations, local transportation, and guided activities. No information will be provided on how many of the 10 places remain available to agents, during the incentive duration period outlined in 2.1.
3. Booking Requirements
3.1. All bookings must be made during the promotional period, which runs from 01/01/2025 - 31/12/2025.
3.4. Cancelled or refunded trips will not count toward the required total.
4. Claiming the Incentives
4.1. Participants who meet all eligibility and booking requirements will be notified within 30 business days after the conclusion of the promotional period.
4.2. Winners must claim their personal trip or InsideJapan Small Group Tour within one (1) year from the date of notification.
4.3. Once claimed, the trip and/or InsideJapan Small Group Tour must be utilised within by the 31/12/2026.
4.4. Failure to claim or utilise either incentive within the specified period will result in forfeiture.
4.5 You are only allowed to claim 1 InsideJapan Small Group Tour place free of charge.
5. Prize Redemption
5.1. The grand prize trip and InsideJapan Small Group Tour itineraries will be pre-determined by the organising company and include accommodations, local transportation, and selected activities.
5.2. The incentives are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives.
5.3. Winners are responsible for arranging their own flights to and from Australia or New Zealand, visas, travel insurance, and any personal expenses. Domestic and internal flights as part of the cultural adventure grand prize, are counted as ground arrangements.
5.4. Prizes can only be redeemed for a singular booking. They cannot be split between separate bookings.
5.5. Prizes must be redeemed in full at the time of booking. Anyone using less than the full monetary value awarded, at time of booking, for their own booking, will forfeit the remaining monetary value. 5.6. Winners of a free place on an InsideJapan Small Group Tour, can only redeem the place on the tour itself. Any additional costs that winners include in their booking, will be required to be paid in full at time of booking, by the winner themselves.
6. General Terms
6.1. The organising company reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this promotion at any time without prior notice.
6.2. In case of disputes regarding eligibility or prize distribution, the organising company’s decision will be final and binding.
6.3. By participating, entrants agree to these terms and conditions and consent to their personal information being used for promotional purposes related to this incentive.
6.4. Winners will be chosen, on merit, from those who complete the form explaining why their booking was a perfect example of a cultural adventure. Votes will be carried out anonymously by the senior trade team from these submissions
7. Liability Disclaimer
7.1. The organising company is not responsible for any cancellations, delays, or other issues beyond its control that may affect the winner's ability to redeem or enjoy the incentive.
